| This is a very effective low-budget offering from the southern hemisphere. The plot is fairly simple, revolving around a couple who stumble upon a yuppie family Carter taking prisoners. What elevates this Storm Warning Horror movie above similar tales is the huge sense of threat and vulnerability that inevitably creates, and the enormous energy and inventiveness with which they represent the kidnappers. Personally, I felt very uncomfortable around me and empathised with the couple that they had somehow got so many problems. The woman, who is on top of the French, is under constant threat of rape. I felt particularly bad about is that her lawyer boyfriend how to get out of their depth and fully aware that it is unable to defend it. However, it is made of very harsh things when her boyfriend and is incapacitated by the savage yokels who have found that taking matters into their own hands and start fighting again. This time turning the tables occupies the last third of the Storm Warning Horror movie and handles with great energy and enthusiasm y. Some old school traps are employed against one of the villains, as she has another trick up her Ahem, manga that really has to be seen to be believed. Without giving too much away, I found the structure of this fascinating and very original film, but for casual viewers alike this DVD film Storm Warning actually offers. There's plenty of atmosphere, humor, excitement and carnage piece set for all hyped up the soundtrack keeps moving along the right thing. |
| As tired as "isolated hamlet tripped by weary vacationers" premise has been done over the last forty years, no one can win a trip psychotic Redneck even in this day and age of saturated straight-to-video horror shelves. Obviously a direct hit off the "Slaughter of Texas," basically all aspects, "Storm Warning" offers entertainment relentless, gore, grisly atmosphere, and is incredibly fast ... Increased vacation city find themselves in a small sailboat just before a violent thunderstorm. They come ashore on a piece of land, and discovering a farm inhabited by two brothers and their equally vicious sadistic father. Husband and wife tormented Åre verbally, physically and sexually abused and held captive in the stable, while their only chance to escape to fight ... This Australian DivX Movie Storm Warning is, surprisingly, from the director of "Urban Legend" and derived from both films are definitely higher than the previous works and is certainly worth seeing for its award-winning color and effects of some antagonists. It may not be anything new to the horror genre but it's a fun Storm Warning Horror film ... |
| Yuppies have many problems driving trucks. Hillbillies detest Volvo. Yuppie women who are squeamish about fishing can somehow figure out how to turn fishing rods in the booby-traps. Obviously yuppie women also know that after jumping Hillbillies completely. In "Storm Warning", the yuppies and Hillbillies have one thing in common, and that is not common sense. Prepare to be surprised by a plot that is based on the yuppies to address their small boat in a mangrove swamp, with a storm approaching, you lose, and seek refuge in a house that is obviously the premises occupied by degenerate (you do not can help but notice the explosion of dolls in the room). The Hillbillies, who can barely write his name in the mud with a stick, may cause some sympathy, after all. - MERK |
| I had read some good reviews for this "B" film: Storm Warning so I decided to try it, and I am glad I did. The DVD film Storm Warning has a very tense feel that it was more exciting to watch. Simple story but very well executed. I was pleasantly surprised with the performance and management. I've seen too many B movies that were horrible, but it was impressive. There was a good atmosphere and a handful of blood and gore, which is impressive in my book. But this will not be easy for the gross out. When blood comes in, it is a strong and defiantly does not disappoint. I enjoyed this very much. I do not recognize any of the actors, but all of them were very good on paper. The two main characters did a very good job so we sympathize your situation and the bad guys carry their parts perfectly. They were very convincing, I actually thought that was what they were representing. Check it out if you enjoy good quality and horror / suspense film. |
| Jamie Blanks, director of the underrated urban legend returns to the terror alert to the storm, a 100% by the number of entry in the subgenre of survival horror. Urban legend was much better ... STORM WARNING remains a married couple (Will Ferrel and Nadia rates Lookalike Robert Taylor) who are lost while they are boating and captured by two young brothers and their sadistic father even more sadistic. Standard scenes (MCT table inspired scene inspired DEVIL'S REJECTS humiliate her husband by the wife of harassing scene, etc) until the game was predictable conclusion. In addition to a strange moment that seems to be a nod to HELLRAISER, there is not a single second of this DVD film Storm Warning you will not see coming a mile away if you're familiar with this type of film. In general, storm warning is probably a little better than similar WOLF CREEK, to the extent that STORM WARNING at least has a bit of blood ... So I guess if you liked WOLF CREEK, you might as storm warning, but I'm not really prepared to recommend this Storm Warning Horror to anyone. If you want a horror Storm Warning Horror movie vicious survival FRONTIERE check-out (S) instead. At least the film: Storm Warning has some teeth ... |
| Trapped on an island during a fierce storm, a pair stumble upon a house owned by a murderer and father of two sons of his foul mouth pervert who are increasingly marijuana in a shed of the family, where the couple tries to escape , are captured by the violent family and locked in a barn, but the captors after they feared for their lives have grown bold, angrier and are determined to get his revenge against the attackers anyway they can. Despite what the box art can make us believe, storm warning is not a horror movie! This is another suspense thriller with enough brutal violence (especially towards the end of the film), however, the film: Storm Warning is not as shocking or as entertaining as it should have been, basically because we have seen this kind of story done as much as of late has become tedious and talk of liberation / Texas Slaughter style story of the same type of violence Carter Hicks tortured and terrorized his victims. Films such as the butcher / HOUSE OF 1000 CORPSES / skin DEEP / WOLF CREEK worn quite so welcome and the story lines storm warning does not really offer anything new or anything new that we have not seeen before. The acting is very good for most cases and director JAMIE WHITE demonstrates that still has what it takes to make good movies. In the DivX film Storm Warning makes a nice watch, but those who have seen their share of the rate of these films (and who among us does not?) Will more than likely want to spend on it. *** Stars |
